While it can be one of the most enjoyable parts of the holiday season once completed, preparing the table for Christmas dinner is often a stressful item on your holiday checklist. Worrying about cooking everything to perfection, having enough food and wine, and impressing friends and family with your holiday décor often becomes more important than the tablescape itself, but setting a holiday table allows you to get creative and bring unique, personal touches to your table unlike anyone else.
1 - Dramatic Candles With Layered Fresh Greenery. Simple yet elegant display with ornaments from the tree, "Sometimes simple is best". You don't always need to have large flower arrangements along the table. I love to use what I have on hand to create an understated, yet festive scene. Simple white ornaments setting topped with trimmings from the tree, and candles does the trick!"
2 - Monotone Arrangements - Using flowers like burgundy ranunculus, pincushion protea, red roses and sage, this pop of color is sure to sing at the center of the table! The use of monotone colors within the tablescape feels all the more enveloping for a cheerful and festive feast.
3 - Statement Florals - You can never go wrong with a statement floral arrangement at the dinner table. Ana uses red anemones, pops of orchids, evergreens, chocolate ranunculus and sweet peas to create a rich and moody holiday arrangement. To keep things interesting, Ana recommends complimentary tones in two totally different textures, which she says is "a great example of how to create maximum impact with minimal ingredients."
